BORN FROM VOLCANOES, AUVERGNE IS A WORLD OF FIRE AND WATER, A FOCAL POINT OF EVERY SORT OF ENERGY

Auvergne knows how to perfectly exploit its natural energies, carefully balancing economic interest and respect for the environment.

Energy form the earth, which allowed for the development of massive farming in the Limagne plains and unmatched livestock rearing in the pastures. Subterranean energy with 17 cities with natural springs, including 11 hot springs such as Vichy, Le Mont-Dore, or Châtel-Guyon, and the exploitation of mineral waters, such as Volvic.  With 109 natural springs, Auvergne is the richest region in Europe in mineral water.  And finally, the energy of men and women who know how to build a ‘savoir-faire’ in several fields, notably gastronomy, with no less than 10 restaurants boasting Michelin stars.

Auvergne has worked to preserve its outdoors and historical and cultural heritage.  Athletes, hikers, and mountain climbers: Auvergne is a world protective of the vitality of each of our passions.

The two Regional Natural Parks (including the Regional Natural Park of the Auvergne Volcanic Range, the largest in France), for which Auvergne is home to, creates an endless playground.

This proximity to and respect for nature have naturally oriented Auvergne towards green industries, notable which has a dedicated cluster in the Region: E2IA.
